The cricket club plays a huge role as a sports club at the Heriot-Watt University. Being the only university team to represent UAE in the RedBull World Finals for 3 consecutive years, it gives us the status of the best university cricket team in the UAE. From recruiting fresh talent in the beginning of the semester till the closing ceremony at the end of the academic year, the cricket club management puts in a lot of effort and professionalism in their activities to ensure that certain standards are met in order to not just excel among other clubs in the university itself, but be the best in the country simultaneously. We are always looking for new talent through offline hunts and we have created a fun and competitive environment simultaneously in order to produce quality results. We have practice and fitness sessions on a regular basis as well as participate in tournaments quite often! So there are a lot of opportunities for students to prove themselves throughout the year.
