Hey there! My name is Manasseh Baby John, and I'm running once again for the position of Vice-President of Events and Community.

As a former Executive of events and the current Vice-President of Events and Community, I have accumulated a sufficient amount of experience in order to perform this role with utmost professionalism and courtesy. Not only have I planned and organized many staple events of Heriot-Watt such as Scottish Highland Games, Wattfest, and International day. I've also been apart of smaller events hosted by various clubs and schools. But I was not alone during this process as I was supported by the various council and club members that helped me along the way. Working alongside such brilliant people has not only refined my skills as an individual but also as a student council member. Even during the pandemic when the possibility of events was low, we still listened to the students and hosted events such as Sports Week, Back to the '90s, and even our very own Gaming tournament. With our new campus opening up in knowledge park, it is important the student council has someone in this position who knows how the council works as a whole. This year the community of heriot watt is gonna be my priority. This position not only looks after the events but also the community aspect. Opportunities, including volunteering, and internships. Well being of the community. and lastly leisure AKA fun.
