I do realize that, the pioneer in the education system, The Heriot Watt University has carved out the responsible position of VP-Wellbeing, after understanding how important the Well-being of Students is directly proportional in motivating all their capabilities and nurturing their talents.

Myself, Anaswara Harikumar, a 3rd year International Business Management student has whole heartedly chosen to contest for this position since I have a passion and trust on the Concept “Wellbeing” and what miraculous changes it can bring in the student’s life and achievements, when meticulously implemented.

Understanding that Wellbeing is synonym to Health, Happiness and Satisfaction, in the Position of VP Well-being I would venture out on the following:

  • In simple terms to see a SMILE in each face. A smile of Health, Happiness and Satisfaction.
  • Fostering robust plans on how the difficult situation of the pandemic can be sailed across together.
  • Inculcating a culture of inclusiveness, breaking barriers of actions in silos.
  • Ensuring that student’s needs are properly voiced and, the available welfare facilities are well reached out to and by every student and, the circumstantial demands are addressed on time to the university authorities.
  • The campus transition is seen by myself as an opportunity. I would like to have spearhead the nexus where each one of us can be supportive to each other.

Being the class representative of IBM for 2020-2021, having dispensed my responsibilities with due diligence, staying as an effective communicator to address any concerns of my peers, I would like to emphasize that once selected as your VP Well-Being, I would stay committed to my new responsibilities. Persistent to bring fruitful results, behold a SMILE to be approachable to all, to be able to discuss and resolve any issues, and ultimately, to be one among you all and at the same time lead by traits of Clarity and Confidence which are result oriented.
