Hi there! I am Jagmeet Ghotra, a third year Computer Science student. This is my introductory appeal to the student body for the post of Executive of Sport for the year 2021-2022. I have experience in both competing and training in various sports. I am a part of the Dragon Boating team and being a member of that community has taught me so much about what it is like being a fellow teammate in adverse climates, leadership and take pride in representing our university. Fitness is a personal passion of mine and my friends always pull my leg in relation to how incapable I am to control myself when I get a fitness related question. I launch into full advisory mode as I love encouraging people from all walks of life set goals and find their foothold in a physically active sphere. I absolutely love motivating friends to find a sport of choice and watch them enjoy the adrenaline a game can bring. I believe in easy access for everyone to these activates and will strive to do my best to work with the council and make being a part of sports some of the highlights of your university career. I have felt nervous while pushing boundaries to try out new activities and so can be compassionate and approachable to all your worries. Everyone has what it takes and maybe all you require a bit of an initial push and that’s where I step in your journey to discover new hobbies.
