The HWUD Business Society is a place to put business skills into practice. Throughout the semester, members can expect a mix of workshops, networking events, industry visits, and a flagship case competition designed to build practical skills in pitching, negotiating, and decision-making under pressure.
What to Expect
Skills Workshops – Sessions on topics such as financial modeling & Bloomberg basics, consulting & case interviews, personal branding/LinkedIn, and digital marketing, usually led by an outside speaker.
Networking & Socials – Lower-key events like movie night, alumni coffee chats, and fun activities!
Industry Visits – Planned visits to companies in Dubai to see the industry first-hand, alongside guest talks tied to our university partnerships.
Case Competition – Our flagship Intra-University Case Competition runs throughout the semester, culminating in a final where teams present to a judging panel.
Prizes & Recognition – Look out for small prizes at our weekly events.
