Hi, I'm Maneesh Ajith Menon, pursuing year 2 of BBA, running for the post of HWUD Student Council- Executive of Sports.

Why do I think i'm an ideal candidate?

During my schooling, I held leadership positions in fitness clubs, and frequently competed in sports events in/out of school, while maintaining a strong desire to be fit. Hard work, determination, self-awareness, integrity, sportsmanship, time management, quick decision making, and consistency are skills I have developed during these experiences. Along with these, my innate sociability would make me an excellent choice for the post.

What has driven me to run for this post?

As a fellow student with a strong interest in sports, I believed that running for the position of Executive of Sports would provide everyone with the best benefits and opportunities that I, and many others, had always wished for. This, I believe, may be accomplished by me with the assistance from the amazing Student Council and the University.

If elected, I would aim to :

• Prioritize the goals and interests of the students and the student council.
• Devote myself to support the President, Vice President, and other Student Council Elected Representatives.
• Support in the planning of both internal and external sporting events.
• Through selected University Committees, represent the students of the university.
• Provide more oppurtunities for all pupils to participate in athletic events.
• Aim for students to have a better experience in sports clubs.
• endeavour for the success of all sports in Heriot Watt University Dubai.
• Always be available to answer questions and provide assistance to pupils.
• Make sure that the student concerns are addressed by being a voice for them.

I believe, human beings are like diamonds. hidden under the rocks, but with the right tools, they tend to sparkle.
