Welcome to the Psychology Society: Where Curiosity Comes to Life

Psychology is everywhere.

It’s in the way we think, the choices we make, the relationships we build, the things we create, and even the little behaviours we barely notice.

The Psychology Society is a space for anyone who has ever wondered “Why do we do that?”, and wants to explore the answer beyond textbooks and lectures.

Our aim is simple: to make psychology engaging, relatable and something you can actually experience. Whether that means putting psychological concepts to the test, having conversations about topics that matter, hearing from people in the field, or simply discovering something about the mind you never knew before.

What We’re All About

Over the years, the Psychology Society has grown into a community built around curiosity, creativity and connection.

We work alongside our faculty and wider university community to create opportunities for students to explore psychology outside the classroom, from interactive events and discussions to research, career exposure, creative projects and student-led initiatives.

We are also incredibly proud to have been recognized as Best Society of the Year, reflecting the passion and effort of the students who have helped shape our community.

And this year, we want to take things even further.

Expect psychology that feels a little less like another lecture and a lot more like something you want to be part of, mini experiments, challenges, discussions, workshops, collaborations, career-focused sessions, wellbeing initiatives and plenty of opportunities to get involved yourself.

Our society is open to students from all majors, and there are plenty of ways to be involved, whether you want to attend our events or help create what happens behind the scenes.
